Last summer I went to Vietnam with my parents. We stayed at a small village outside Saigon. The air and water was very clean and there were many kids playing in the mud along with water buffalos. Though it’ a very poor country, the kids seem to be happy. They live with their farmer parents in little houses built with dirt and straw and help out a lot in the rice field ring the day. They don’t have TVs or Internet, but they enjoy a lot playing outside. It was a very memorable trip that I will never forget.

My first date
Nobody believes that I have never had a boyfriend in 20 years of my life. Well, some of them even suggest me to see psychologist, some of them question about my sexual orientation. I know they were joking. My repsonse is I am a very picky person.

I knew him more than 6 months, but never met him. Yes, we met on the internet, but don't get me wrong here, I had no intention for further development to begin with. He rang me this afternoon, and I had no expectation whatsoever. I was shocked when he started speaking Chinese to me. I know he could speak some Chinese, but didn't know he could keep the whole conversation flowing. He said he is in town, asked me if I could drive down to see him. I said ok. After I got the address and direction from him, I realized it would be an hour driving from where I was, even longer because of the rush hour.
...... An hour and 45 minutes later, I ended up somewhere in downtown. He was standing on the sidewalk, and giving me the direction on the phone. The first impression- he wore glasses, I never saw him with glasses. We stopped by the grocery store, he picked up some Qing Beer. He was really careful about it. He let me wait him outside, he wouldn't even let me hold the beer for him, because I am still under 21.
Then we sat behind his house, facing to the waterway. We talked so much I couldn't even recall every detail right now. One thing for sure, he loves China so much, which is good. It created a lot of common topic between us. There was some awkward moments as well, both of us were silent, had nothing to say......
It was getting dark, and the clouds were moving above us. I decided to leave. He really wants me to come back again. I said maybe, I really don't like drive this far, and spent money on gas.
I am kind of confused now. I have never been that confused in my life. No wander my best girl friend told me don't start to date until you are 30 after she had her first. Haha, is it true? I felt pretty good tonight. Am I really falling this time or it is just illusion?
