There are many advantages to a college or university ecation.Students have ample opportunity to explore a variety of interests, increase both their general and specific knowledge, prepare for a chosen career and develop independence. All of these are valuable goals to achieve, but it is my belief that most students today pursue higher ecation insgroupsto prepare for their future careers.
In the past, only the rich and privileged had the opportunity to attend a university and their goals were very different.Coming from wealthy families, few of them would have to compete for a job after graation, and most wished only to be considered well-ecated.Today's students are more practical. They must be able to compete in a very competitive job market; therefore,a practical ecation is very important.Furthermore, higher ecation is a big investment and so most students want to get all they can out of it.For these students,it is better to have clearly defined career and ecation goals rather than to try and find themselves in college.Of course, all students want to increase their knowledge, but I believe that most students today want that knowledge to be relevant to their future careers.
The world has changed a great deal since universities were established. They are still wonderful places for acquiring broad knowledge and for personal development. However,in today's competitive world these pursuits must be balanced with the pursuit of more specific goals. That is why I think most students view higher ecation as a valuable tool in career preparation.

The lucky number in China or for Cninese all over the world is number eight. This is because, 'eight' sounds like 'fuck', which sumbolizes prosperity. When the Chinese said, 'eight, eight, eight'. The meaning is 'fuck, fuck, fuck." It also means good prosperity three times.
Feng Shui is still commonly prastise by many at home and in the business world. Feng Shui to a certain extend has some scientific reasoning. Fengshui takes into consideration of the five elements interactions. Lacking of any element would not balance the fengshui of a house or office.
The four seasons are spring, summer, autumn and winter. The northern and southern hemisphere of the earth have opposite seasons ring the four terms of the season. The growth of a tree can tell the signs of the four seasons. In spring, the tree starts to get green again. In summer, the flowers on the tree get full bloom. In Autumn, the tree leaves wither. In Winter, the tree only left with the trunk and branches. There could be snow or ice hanging on the branches

Superstition
When mentioning superstition, many people will look down their nose at those who are superstitious. Especially in rural areas, the majority of villagers are superstitious. In their eyes, superstition is practical to a certain extent. For example, many villagers hold the deep-seated idea that praying for good fortune can help their relatives and friends who are critically or terminally ill overcome the troublesome diseases. Maybe they are deeply convinced that Gods and Buddha who are with supernatural power are in control of everything in the world, certainly including life and death. Gods and Buddha are the real emperors of the whole world.
I can not tell whether superstition is practical or not, personally speaking, there is no necessity to research it. However, many people are strongly against superstition, especially those self-appointed Homo sapiens. They maintain that superstition is impractical, and that as human beings who have entered a new century it is our ty to oppose superstition and develop technology. In addition, in their opinions, only science is the truth, and everyone should pursue it and then uphold it without the least reservation. All things concerned with superstition are supposed to be discarded.

But, still, is the existence of superstition reasonable since it has rooted in the world for so many centuries? I think, more or less, superstition contributes to the good public order. For example, it is said that the local god of the land in a village urges the fight among villagers to come to an end. In details, there are two different parties in the village: One is for renovating the tiny temple housing the village god because it can bring good harvests; the other one is strongly against it because they argue that it is unnecessary to waste so much money. Each party sticks to their guns and is unwilling to give up to the other. And then the appearing of the local god of the land solves all problems. Later, all villagers are for renovating the tiny temple housing the village god, and they lead a peaceful life again. So we can not but admit that superstition is somewhere good. And everyone should adopt a right attitude towards it

The events that occurred ring New Year's Day may impact your life for the rest of the year. Be careful in your actions. Certain precautions (预防)are taken to insure that the New Year will be a good one. 1. The entire house should be cleaned before New Year's Day. On New Year's Eve, all brooms, brushes, sters, stpans (簸箕)and other cleaning equipment are put away. Sweeping or sting should not be done on New Year's Day for fear that good fortune will be swept away. After New Year's Day, the floors may be swept. At no time should the rubbish in the corners be trampled upon. In sweeping, there is a superstition(迷信) that if you sweep the st and dirt out of your house by the front entrance is to sweep away the good fortune of the family; it must always be swept inwards and then carried out, then no harm will follow. All dirt and rubbish must be taken out the back door. 2. Shooting off firecrackers on New Year's Eve is the Chinese way of sending out the old year and welcoming in the new. On the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve, every door in the house, and even windows, have to be open to allow the old year to go out. 3. Nothing should be lent on New Year's Day, as anyone who does so will be lending all the year. All debts have to be paid by New Year's Eve. 4. Everyone should refrain from using foul(污秽) language and bad or unlucky words. Negative terms and the word "four", or "si" in Chinese which sounds like the word for death, are not to be uttered. Death and dying are never mentioned and ghost stories are totally taboo. 5. Hair must be cleaned and set prior(先前的) to the holiday, for to do so ring the New Year season would invite financial ruin. On New Year's Day, hair should not be washed because it would mean washing away good luck for the New Year. 6. Care must be taken not to break any dishes or other things on the first day of the year. 7. The use of knives and scissors(剪子) -- indeed any sharp instrument -- is to be avoided, for these things could augur(算命) bad luck in the coming year. 8. Wear brand new clothes -- preferably in red. Children should wear new clothes and new shoes. Red is considered a bright, happy color, sure to bring the wearer a sunny and bright future. It is believed that appearance and attitude ring New Year's sets the tone for the rest of the year.

Though the science is highly advocated, people try to explain everything in science, there are still some people believe that something happen for some certain reasons, and the ghosts manipulate the supernature. In the older generation, they believe in ghosts so much, my grandma is one of them. She burns joss sticks day and night, she says if she keeps doing this, and the immortal will see her sincere and will bless our family fast and sound. As for me, I don’ believe in superstition, a ghost exists in those people who do the guilty things’ heart. But if people believe in superstition and have faith, that will be good for them, so they won’t feel empty and do the right things.
