Oseola McCarty spent more than 75 years washing and ironing other peopl
e’s clothes. As a
laundrywoman, she was paid only a few dollars each time. Certainly nobody would consider her
rich, so they were all amazed when Miss McCarty decided to donate $ 150,000 to the University
of Southern Mississippi.

人生的路上，有平川坦途，也会撞上没有舟的渡口没有桥的河岸。
烦恼、苦闷常常像夏日里的雷雨，突然飘过来，将心淋湿。挫折、苦难常常猝不及防地扑过来，你甚至来不及发出一声叹息就轰然被击倒。

也许一生我们不会遭遇这样的大灾难，然而我们何曾摆脱过阴天雨天雪天，何曾摆脱过绝望的纠缠！折磨人生的，一是生存，一是爱情，它们常常突然间就浊浪翻滚地横亘在面前，你愁肠百结找不到过去的桥，痛不欲生找不到可以渡过去的船。这种无路可走的绝望，一生中谁不碰上几回？！当我们知道苦难是生命的常态，烦恼痛苦总相伴人生时，我们何必要自怨自艾早早地放弃？早早地绝望？
有的人将求生的本能折成一只船，将自己摆渡出绝望的深渊；有的人将新的欲望折成一只船，渡过了挫折后的痛苦与沮丧；有的人将希望折成一只船，驶过了重重叠叠的黑暗。实在无船可渡的人，哪怕用幻想折只小船呢，也要奋力将自己摆渡到对岸。
也许我们不曾经历感情的剧痛，经历失败的打击，不曾经历无路可走的绝望。可是晴朗的日子里也常会有阴风晦雨袭来，它像一只黑乌鸦扇着翅膀在你周围鼓噪着，足以将一个好心情蹂躏得乱七八糟。这种时候，我们同样需要有一只船来摆渡自己。这只船也许是去听一场音乐会，也许是捧起一本书，也许是去给互联网上从未谋面的网友发封电子邮件，也许是背上旅行袋悄悄出门。
所以，无论命运多么多变，无论人生多么颠沛，都会有摆渡的船，而且这只船常常就在我们自己手里。

莫畏浮云适望眼，精彩在黑暗之后重现。

辽阔苍穹中飞翔的老鹰，必是经历了母鹰无数次摔下山崖的痛苦，才锤炼出一双凌空的翅膀。
一颗璀璨无比的珍珠，必然经受过蚌的肉体无数次蠕动以及无数风浪的打磨，才能熠熠生辉。
同样，一个真正有成就的人，也肯定是在无数次的跌倒后重新站起来的，因为“不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹？没有人能随随便便成功”。
史铁生摔了一跤，没有了双腿，这对任何人来说都是沉重的打击。但他没有因此对生活失去信心，而是用自己的大脑和双手去表达对生活的无限热爱。
贝多芬双目失明且耳聋，但他依然写出了《英雄》《命运》等大量音乐作品，在人生的不幸中，他顽强地扼住了“命运的咽喉”。
这些都是曾经摔过跤的人，但他们却都坚强地站了起来，与命运、与不幸抗争，最终取得了巨大的成功。
所以对我们每个人来说，摔跤并不可怕，可怕的是你从此对生活失去信心和勇气。

因为生活是我们自己的，命运是掌握在我们自己手中的，我们的心态、我们的选择，决定了人生的方向。
挫折是人生的一笔财富，是促使你成功的一剂良药，不经历风雨的花儿，怎么会绚烂？不经历磨难的人生，怎么会发出炫目的光彩？
就像2005年感动中国的人物——洪战辉所说：困难，我们有责任去面对它，解决它。作为新一代的年轻人，我们应该明白摔跤并不可怕，就像我们总是有勇气唱起这首歌：不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹？没有人能随随便便成功！
我要说，不经历一次次摔跤和一次次跌倒后又站起，人怎么能长大？摔跤也是一种幸福，风雨正是雨后彩虹的前兆！
