吸毒——这一丑恶现象乘着我国改革开放之机，肆无忌惮闯了进来，带来的危害真是数也数不清！主要对人体与身心的危害在于毒品作用于人体，使其体能产生改变，形成在药物作用下的新的平衡状态。一旦停掉药物，生理功能就会发生紊乱，出现戒断反应，使人感到痛苦万分。许多吸毒者在没有经济来源购毒、吸毒的情况下，或死于严重的身体戒断反应引起的各种病发症，或由于痛苦难忍而自杀身亡。所以这种戒断反应的痛苦，反过来又促使吸毒者为避免这种痛苦而千方百计地维持吸毒状态。也有很多人忍受不了这种强烈的痛苦而不断加大剂量，使吸毒者终日离不开毒品。而毒品进入人体后又作用于人的神经系统，出现精神依赖性，并导致幻觉和思维障碍等一系列的精神障碍。使吸毒者出现一种渴求用药的强烈欲望，驱使吸毒者不顾一切地寻求和使用毒品，甚至为吸毒而丧失人性！！吸毒不仅对人体与身心有一定的危害作用，还带给社会与家庭不少的伤痛。家庭中一旦出现了吸毒者，家便不成家了。吸毒者在自我毁灭的同时，也破害自己的家庭，使家庭陷入经济破产、亲属离散、甚至家破人亡的困难境地！并且对社会生产力有巨大的破坏性，还扰乱社会治安，带给人们巨大的威胁，毒品活动造成环境恶化，并逐年缩小了人类的生存空间。
