A Royal Thief-Catcher
In one of the smaller cities of India called Sravasti the people gathered together on a very hot day to stare at and talk about a stranger, who had come in to the town, looking very weary and walking with great difficulty because his feet were sore with tramping for a long distance on the rough roads. He was a Brahman, that is to say, a man who devoted his whole life to prayer, and had promised to give up everything for the sake of pleasing the god in whom he believed, and to care nothing for comfort, for riches, or for good food.
This Brahman carried nothing with him but a staff to help him along, and a bowl in which to receive the offerings of those who thought it their ty to help him and hoped by doing so to win favor in the sight of God. He was naked, except for a cloth worn about his loins, and his long hair was all matted together for want of combing and brushing. He made his way very slowly and painfully through the crowds, till he came to a shady corner, and there he sank down exhausted, holding out his bowl for the gifts of the people. Very soon his bowl would have been full of all sorts of good things, but he made it clear that he would accept nothing to eat except rice still in the husk, and nothing to drink but pure water. He was however willing to take money; and when the people who wished to help him found that out, they brought him a good many silver and gold pieces. Some who had no money to spare gave him jewels and other things which could be sold for money.
As time went on, the Brahman became very well known in Sravasti. His fame indeed spread far beyond the town, and people came from far away to consult him about all sorts of things, and he gave them good advice, for he was a very wise man. Those who wanted him to tell them what to do paid him for his advice, and as some of them had plenty of money and were glad to help him, he soon became quite rich. He might have done a great deal of good with all this money by helping the poor and suffering, but unfortunately he never thought of doing so. Instead of that, he got to love the money for its own sake. At night, when all those who had come to see him had gone to rest, and there was no fear of his being found out, he used to steal away into the forest, and there he g a deep hole at the root of a great tree, to which he took all his money and jewels

The TV murder
The living room looks like an explosion had occurred.
Looking ahead, everywhere is debris and damaged furniture, lying in the middle of the living room, she called Eller and Rino Cai Zeer. Nissen officer couldn't believe it.
"Implosion." His colleagues Kela Mo concluded.
"Explosion -- what?"
"Tv. Implosion -- the opposite of explosion, but proce the same results, as you can see, it might be quite amazing. Here we may not want to find things, boss. This is not a murder, is the picture tube implosion."
"This is really......"
"...... Always like this. People are willing to spend money in any place, is reluctant to buy a new TV in 15 years."
Just a moment. Said the police officer, he carefully looked at the floor, picked up a small piece of wood, above there is a company name.
"This is the latest model. Is it logical?"
Kela Mo thinking. "Yes -- or you think, there is a time bomb?" He asked.
"Everything is possible." He replied.
"Full of men," said the woman, "she lived here for 5 years. Last year, she suddenly married. But she that cars are far stopped in front of the door, of course, there is the young fashionable man."
"Her husband?"
"Two months ago to find another place, he also don't want to stay here."
"How she economic situation?"
"Elno Zeisel has a lot of money, spend money is also generous -- especially in her young mistress."
He found a dead husband, a 30 year old handsome men.
"I just heard about this thing. Terrible! It was terrible! But this is a matter of time. I can't imagine, who according to the next. This is a very difficult case. Her friends are not like: Waiter, or is she everywhere with rich men's sons. Yes, some time ago there was a."
He picked up a piece of paper. "Here," he said, "I found a private detective, get his address."
"I have a question to ask you." Nissen said, "you are one of the people in a will?"
"Yes, if she hadn't changed, I now and her lover is."
"At the time -- 23 points last night, where are you?"
"I was celebrating his birthday -- in this room. My aunt and guests can prove."
When Nissen and Kela Mo to write the address, at Peter Cornelius house, he was still sleeping. Is noon.
"I am the waiter," he did not say very angrily, "of course, want to sleep now."
"So you probably after 10 p.m. only have time to Elno Zeisel there."
"So what? This crime?"
Not so good. But, now she's dead. Your last night at her there. Some people see you!" He is not sure, but he said very simply.
"Yes, but she did not open the door."
"She can't open the door." The police officer said.
"It is worth noting," the officer said, "below the windows wide open, and as usual this time. This you know, because you know Elno Zeisel. You know she this time generally do what. You can easily picture things in the room -- just in the TV tube -- then the explosion."
"Is the implosion." His colleagues Kela Mo corrected.
"Are you crazy!" The young man shouted, "I did not. What is your evidence?"
"We'll be back." The police officer said.
"It was a crazy idea," Kela Mo on the police officer said, "but this also can. What do you think?"
"Because I didn't see what in the room like a time bomb. Of course, we also know the expert report."
The name Peter Cornelius is indeed in the will, he can get half of the heritage, the husband to the other half.
The husband is not present evidence is watertight, his aunt told Nissen, birthday party all night at the gate of her kitchen sitting.
"If he leaves, I'm sure I can hear. And he every few minutes to me, the end Fried Eggs guest."
"Well, sir," said the police officer in the office of Kela Mo, "the waiter, Nellie, have not here to prove! He worked till 23. After a colleague drove him to the house of Cai Zeer. But, according to her neighbor said, she was already dead."
"The expert report it, how to say?"
"As you would expect, someone broke the TV set."
"This is only possible through the window to do. Otherwise the murderer himself."
"Yes," replied the Kela Mo, "but, you read the list of items found in the room. You can find the causes of the case? I haven't got a clue."
Nissen rows read report. Suddenly he gave a whistle. "Here," he said: "you see Kela Mo, carpet color glass!"
Kela Mo confused, don't understand what he said.
"Soon," said Nissen, "we started. I think I know what happened."
Two when the police arrived, Claus was already in bed.

The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning. They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting on the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stones and sand!

The Pleasure of Reading Detective Novel
I like reading, especially for detective novel. I love recreating the scene from the novel in my mind, and I’ really fancy the bright detective who are created by the writer. However, some people argue that reading detective novel is nothing but a waste of time, since you have the time to read, why don’t you read some book that could learn useful knowledge. But I cannot agree with it.
In the first place, reading detective novel is a good way to learn lots new knowledge from one book. For instance, almost all of the detective novel included the knowledge of investigation, psychology, behavior analysis, and some even involved the aspect of physical and chemistry. The writer perfectly used that knowledge to write into the fiction, which make the reader learn it naturally. Hence, reading detective novel is not a bad thing, it will help you review your academic knowledge and learn something you don’t know before.
In the second place, reading detective novel is like some kind of brainstorming game. When you are reading novel which is every exciting, your mind will follow the plot that will set your wits to work. On another word, reading a detective novel is not only could make you feel relaxed but also could make you become smarter than before.
To sum up, there is great benefit to read detective novel. You could totally enjoy the pleasure that the intelligent detective bring to you,and you could be smarter.

Sherlock Holmes is a fictional private detective created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Known as a "consulting detective" in the stories, Holmes is known for a proficiency with observation, forensic science, and logical reasoning that borders on the fantastic, which he employs when investigating cases for a wide variety of clients, including Scotland Yard. First appearing in print in 1887, the character's popularity became widespread with the first series of short stories in The Strand Magazine, beginning with "A Scandal in Bohemia" in 1891; additional stories appeared from then to 1927, eventually totalling four novels and 56 short stories. All but one are set in the Victorian orEdwardian periods, taking place between about 1880 to 1914. Most are narrated by the character of Holmes's friend and biographer Dr. Watson, who usually accompanies Holmes ring his investigations and often shares quarters with him at the address of 221B Baker Street, London, where many of the stories begin.
Though not the first fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes is arguably the most well-known, with Guinness World Records listing him as the "most portrayed movie character" in history. Holmes's popularity and fame are such that many have believed him to be not a fictional character but a real indivial; numerous literary and fan societies have been founded that pretend to operate on this principle. The stories and character have had a profound and lasting effect on mystery writing and popular culture as a whole, with both the original tales as well as thousands written by authors other than Conan Doyle being adapted into stage and radio plays, television, films, video games, and other media for over one hundred years.
