My favorite city in the world is Auckland, New Zealand. It is one of the world's best cities for living, also known as the "City of Sails" and the Queen City. There are many harbors， beaches, oceans and mountains, among which is the famous Rangitoto volcano.

Many people have favorite places they like to go to when they are feeling sad or bored. I also have favorite places that I go to as often as I can.

Here are the three places that I like most. First of all, I like the zoo. The animals are amazing because some are so cute and some are so ugly! I like to pet them,feed them and watch them perform. Museums are cool places, too. They have good exhibits and fascinating displays. I like the works of art there. Some museums teach me a lot about history and science. From dinosaurs to robots, I love them all. Finally, theme parks are my favourite place. I think the roller coasters are the best. It's fun to scream and get scared.

There are many great Chinese cities, but for me the greatest city has to be Xi'an,the city I came from.Xi'an is perhaps the greatest, and certainly one of the greatest ancient capitals of China. Thirteen dynasties made Xi'an their capital, including the three greatest dynasties in Chinese history: Zhou, Han and Tang. The city has a history of more than 3000 years, it was first constructed in the 12th century BC. Xi'an is also considered as one of the four greatest ancient capitals in the entire world. The ancient city of Chang An was to East Asia what Rome was to Europe. It is one of the only two ancient Chinese cities that was known in the classical western world. The ancient Greek name for Xi'an, or Chang An as it was then called, is Thyne Metropolis.
For thousands of years Xi'an was at the eastern terminus of the great Silk Road, attracting visitors from India, Persia, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome and beyond. During the Han Dynasty Chang An was one of the largest cities in the world, and ring the Tang Dynasty, it became the world's largest and most prosperous city. Behind the huge city walls stretched a central avenue leading to the imperial palace that was laid with marble and one hundred and fifty metres wide. Although after the Tang Dynasty the city lost its former grandeur and prestige, it was still considered as one of the most important cities in China in subsequent dynasties up to the present day.

Shanghai is my favorite city. I like it because I was born in there, and a lot of my family members and my friends live there. The shopping in Shanghai is cheaper than here, but it’s expensive in China. I was there for 13 years! I left there on August, 18th, 2005. And I was there because I was born in there and I lived there.

I’d like to go back to Shanghai, but just for a visit. Although Shanghai is good, I’d like to live here because I’d like to study here. I only get a little homework and the air here is flasher than Shanghai. The weather is hot in Shanghai. And the best time of year to go there is spring, because in spring, the weather is cool and warm. But some people asked me:” Why don’t we go there in the fall? The fall is also cool and warm.” I don’t think so, because in Shanghai, the fall is still very hot.
