因为世界上大部分国家的人都使用英语，现在英语已经成为一种国际性语言。
在改革开放中，如果你想要和外国人做生意，你必须学习英语，固为他们中的大部分人都是用英语说和写，国际会议的语言也是英语。今天，重要的书籍多是以英语出版的，如果你懂得更多的英语，你就可以读英文报纸和杂志，学习更多的国际知识，你就可以为世界和平做出你应该做的贡献。
英语对我们很重要，但许多学生不知道他们为什么要学习英语，我希望所有学生都应该重视英语学习井运用自如。
Lighten The Burden On Students
I am very disappointed not to be able to go to see a film with my friends, to play my favorite musical instrument, or to watch TV with my family in the evening. I'm tired of doing much homework, get bored at taking so many exams, and lose interest in studying.
Teachers, please get rid of homework and examinations. Examinations are nothing but anxiety-makers. Homework is nothing but interest-killers.
Teachers, we can learn more outside the classroom. Classroom gives us limited kinds of information. We can only learn some dead knowledge from the books.Teachers, please set us free, and let us learn more outside the classroom from the environment, from TV, from private study or from our friends.
My dear teachers, can you hear me? Please lighten the burden on students.
减轻学生负担
我为不能和朋友一块去看电影，不能弹奏我最喜欢的乐器，不能在晚上与家人一块看电视而沮丧。我讨厌这么多的作业和如此多的考试，对学习失去了兴趣。
老师，请取消作业和考试吧，考试只是焦虑的制造者，作业则是兴趣的抹杀者。
老师，我们从教室外能学到更多的东西。教室给我们的是有限的信息；我们只能从书上学到一些死知识。老师，放了我们吧，让我们从教室外——环境、电视、自学和朋友那里获取更多的东西。
我敬爱的老师，你们听到我的呼吁了吗？减轻学生的负担吧!
My Experience In Examination
In my opinion, examinations are one of the important activities in school life. I have gone through all sorts of examinations since my primary school. I have tasted the flavor of happiness and sadness.
Before examinations I always have a hard time and don't know what to do.During examinations I feel nervous and sometimes my mind becomes blank Only after examinations does the world seem to be bright again and am I brimming with vigor. We often complain that our teachers make trouble for us on purpose. But it is not true. The fact is that examinations are just a way to-help us do better in our study。
我的考试经验
依我看来，考试是学校生活的重要活动。自从上小学以来，我已经历了各种各样的考试，品尝了考试所带来的喜悦和忧伤。
考试前，我总是玩不好，不知道该做什么；考试时，我感到紧张，有时头脑一片空白；只有在考试后，世界似乎再次明亮起来，我又充满了活力。我们时常抱怨老师有意给我们制造麻烦，但事实并非如此，考试就是帮助我们在学习中做得更好的一种方式。
How to Make Friends
Everyone needs friends. A friend can give us help and share our difficulties and happiness. But how can we make friends?
First, to make friends, you must be friendly to others. Smile at others and you are sure to get a smile in return.
Second, friends should negotiate instead of quarrel. When you don't agree someone, please discuss with him.
Finally, never believe in those who leave you when you are in trouble. And never leave your friend when he is in trouble. Remember, a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Friends should be faithful to each other. So long as you can put your friend's interests in front of yours, you will have a lot of good friends.
如何交朋友
人人都需要、朋友。朋友可以给我们以帮助，与我们共事困难和快乐。但是，怎样交朋友呢?
交朋友首先要对别人友善。你对别人微笑；肯定别人也会报以微笑。
其次，朋友之间应该商量而不是争吵。当与别人有分歧时，要和他一起讨论。
最后，不要相信那些在危急关头背离你的人，也不要在朋友危难时离开他。记住：患难之中见真情。
朋友应该以诚相待。只要你把朋友的利益置于你的利益之上，你就会拥有好多好朋友。
Smoking Is Harmful
At the class meeting our teacher read us a report in the newspaper. A certain student in a middle school smoked and he wouldn't get rid of the bad habit though his teacherand friends warned him not to smoke any more. He even stole money to get cigarettes and was pat into prison in the end. This really gave usa shock. As we all
smoking is very harmful to our health. It does great harm not only to our health, but also to our mind, especially for us teenagers. We should study hard and make progress every day. We should form good habits so that we can spend our time learning things useful and valuable for our motherland and people, I think today's class meeting is very meaningful to my classmates who have a bad habit of smoking.
吸烟有害
在班会上，老师读了一篇报纸上的报道。某中学生染上抽烟的恶习，尽管老师、朋友劝他不要再抽烟，但他戒不掉，甚至发展到偷钱买烟，最终被送进监狱。大家都很震惊。我们知道，吸烟对健康危害极大。它不仅危害我们的健康，也危害我们的心灵，我们应该好好学习，天天进步；我们应该养成好的习惯，以便能够把时间花在学习对祖国对人民有用的东西上。我想今天的班会对那些有抽烟恶习的同学非常有意义。
