We ever talk about them since participate in society activities, different people have different feeling, vision, experience of them, even now, I really don’t know what ‘s the exact mean of a love, but I have some ineffable feelings in my inner heart, maybe that is love.
There would have some different meanings in different period ring a man and a woman met, falls in love with each other and got married. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; and the emotion of sex and romance makes them met and falls in love with each other and got married. Marriage changed it to a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude.
Fall in love at first sight maybe only needs a few milliseconds, but a real love process is a series of actions, changes, bringing lovers together.
Love is the foundation of marriage, and marriage makes it steady. They married because of love, and each of them wants is kind to each other and loves each other, compatible with his or her weaknesses, Problems and solutions are mixed with love; most of them are unexpected because they are caused by the most ordinary, everyday items. My love and attraction moved forward to family, children, career and so on, so that makes my wife complain about it, a persuasive explanation is necessary and let her know that loving never stops whatever I am doing.

Journal Article Excerpt
"Here comes the Bride": the making of a "modern traditional" wedding in western culture.
by Dawn H. Currie
Changes in marriage and family dynamics ring the past 25 years have given rise to new questions for sociologists of the family. Following legislative changes in the 1960s, the divorce rate in Canada has increased steadily, so that up to one third of marriages today are likely to end in divorce.(1) As indicators of marital instability rose in most western instrialized societies, commentators declared a "crisis in the family" (see Gittins, 1985). However, against trends of family breakdown the vast majority of Canadians continue to marry, and also to remarry after divorce. On this basis some writers claim that marriage and the family are "alive and well," or even "getting better." In support of the latter interpretation, writers note that Canadians continue to value family life: between 1984 and 1986, 86% of women and 83% of men were, or had been, married, supporting Maclean's (1987) poll that 81% of Canadians rate the family as becoming a more important part of their lives (in Nett, 1988: 2). These types of data have been used to advance the claim that marriage remains popular because it is more possible now, than before, for indivials to seek out fulfilling relationships. On the other hand, feminists draw attention to the frequency of violence against wives by husbands and the unequal division of domestic labour which characterizes most heterosexual households. For these writers, the modern nuclear family is interpreted as a central factor in women's continued oppression in the West, and thus as being in need of further dismantling (see Burt, Code and Dorney, 1988; Boulton, 1983; Thorne, 1982; Barrett and McIntosh, 1982). Given the public documentation of trends which underlie this latter claim, and a rising consciousness about gender parity among Canadians, feminists are beginning to ask why the traditional, nuclear family persists.
The answer to this question is complex, and thus is the matter of ongoing academic debate. Here, one enring aspect of traditional family life is explored: the everyday activity of "getting married." While the past few decades have seen growth in alternatives to marriage (see Wilson, 1990), Canadians continue to perceive legal marriage as an indicator of greater commitment, even when they are already living in common-law unions. Baker (1990: 48) notes that the wedding ceremony itself is frequently seen as a "rite of passage" to alt status. Many families save for years and spend considerable sums on wedding clothing and receptions, even though the event itself is short-lived. For those marrying, Church weddings remain important. Although they declined from 91% of marriages in 1972 to 70% in 1982, this figure has levelled off (Nett, 1988: 211).

Traditional Chinese weddings are always filled with red things to bring auspicious blessings and respects. And even wedding customs reflect traditions from Chinese philosophy.
1. Favoring red comes from worship of the sun
The Chinese regard the color red as the symbol of happiness, success, luck, faith and growth. They like red very much, which comes from worship of the Sun. In traditional Chinese weddings, there are double Xi characters in red, red scarves, red flowers and the bride wears a red coat.
2. The wedding ceremony shows harmony between nature and people
A marriage is not only a merger of the couple; traditionally, it symbolizes the merger of two families. So the wedding ceremony should reflect the holiness of marriage, drawing the attention of relatives and friends. There is harmony between nature and the people inside.
Inviting relatives and friends to the wedding symbolizes the formality and the relationships between people. During a marriage, two families become in-laws. The ceremony reflects the importance and family status of the parents.
After the ceremony, the bride and the groom usually burn money and food as offerings to the gods. As the fire consumes the offerings accompanied by the sound of firecrackers, god accepts the gift, indicating that there is harmony between nature and people.
3. The sound of musical instruments in the wedding is usually loud to express the voice of the people. The sound should be loud enough to let nature know, and it also demonstrates the importance of the marriage.
4. The food the bride eats has cultural significance
In traditional weddings, the bride usually has red dates, peanuts, longans and melon seeds. The meaning is evident in the Chinese pronunciation of these four foods. When they are said together, it sounds like "Have a baby soon."

China was one of the longest history countries in the world. We have many traditional cultures. Wedding ceremony is a part of culture. Last day was the date of my classmate’s wedding that was the same class in primary school. She was the first one to get marry; I got a surprise at first. And also it was the first time as myself to receive invitation. It said:” Inviting Lin and BF go to XXX…” I really found I was grown-up, not only body but also age. I am old enough to get marry now.(I also feel may be I am the last one to get marry.) If you want to enjoy a Chinese traditional wedding, you must prepare money, time and capacity for alcohol. There are many steps of wedding: Presentation of Betrothal Gifts, Send Dowry, Installation of new bed, Hair Dressing Ritual,Tea Ceremony and Home Coming Ritual. For example ,in the first step- Presentation of Betrothal Gifts, bride should pay : Money, usually ends in $9, $99 or $999 (meaning forever!), put in the Tie Box Jewelry, such as a pair of dragon-phoenix bangles Tie Box, containing lai-see, dried loongans, dried lychees, walnuts, peanuts, lotus seeds, cypress leaves, sesame, red & green beans, red dates, a pair of dragon-phoenix candles, Dried mushroom, “fat-cai”(dried black moss), dried seafood such as dried abalones, dried shrimp, dried scallops, dried squids, etc., in combination of 4,6 or 8. Inviting friends and relatives to have dinner is a traditional and normal way to show public that U are doing wedding now. My classmate invited us to a Chinese restaurant. There were about 200 people to attend. And every attendances would gave a sum of $ as gift to couple. $ is not everything, but in China if U give other kinds of gift, U also had to give $ at last. Having a drink of alcohol is another way to celebrate wedding. Couple will go to every table to cheer up. There were 20 tables yesterday. Our table was the last one. So we have enough time to prepare playing tricks on bride. We put chicken’s arse, a lot of spice and soy, and lots of un-known thing into alcohol. I was sure it must be a bad drink. But at that time, the bride was drunk, so my classmate took most of this drink. I was afraid of her, but finally I thought they were couple in law, so they had ty to share happiness and woe from each other. I hope they will live to old age in conjugal bliss.

A wedding is a ceremony that celebrates the beginning of a marriage or civil union. Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. In some countries, cultures and religions, the actual act of marriage begins ring the wedding ceremony. In others, the legal act of marriage occurs at the time of signing a marriage license or other legal document, and the wedding is then an opportunity to perform a traditional ceremony and celebrate with friends and family. A woman being married is called a bride, a man called a bridegroom, after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband.
过程
The ushers enter first, walking in pairs. The bridesmaids follow, walking in pairs if there are six or more. If there are fewer, or if there's an odd number, it's better to have them walk in single file.Next, the maid of honor enters, waiting until a distinct space has opened up after the last bridesmaid. After that, the ring-bearer enters, carrying a cushion with the ring sewn to it. It is best to use a fake ring rather than the real one, to prevent embarrassment if it's dropped. The actual ring should be carried by the best man and by the maid of honor, if it is a double ring ceremony. Now the flower girl enters, closely following the ring-bearer. You might have these children walk in side by side if they are particularly young or nervous. At this point, the organist begins playing the wedding march at full volume. And then the bride starts down the aisle, her father on her left.Meanwhile, the bridesmaids and ushers have arrived or are about to arrive at the altar where the ceremony will take place. They may have filed into the front row or pew, in which case the mother of the bride and the bridegroom's family will occupy the second row on both sides. If you want them seated in the front row, the bridesmaids should be on the left and the ushers on the right. The bride and her father arrive at the front of the seating section or the altar. Now the bride takes the bridegroom's left arm.
After a moment or two, the clergyman or justice should begin the ceremony. The usual practice is for both parents to then take seats in the front pew, although some authorities hold that the father should remain at the altar. At this point, you should relax, take a deep breath, and immerse yourself in the experience. After all, it is something you will probably remember, in detail, for the rest of your life.
China is a large country with 56 nationalities.Different nationalities have different marriage customs, but whatever the nationality is, the wedding ceremony is usually very complicated. The traditional Chinese marriage usually involves 6 necessary proceres, namely: match-making, engagement, betrothal presents, meeting the bride, three bows, and drinking wedlock wine. In addition, a typical Chinese wedding nowadays goes like this:when a new couple is engaged, what followed is a choice of the date of their marriage. Most people would favor a bank holiday or special Chinese festival for their relatives and friends to attend the wedding. However, quite a few others, especially those in the countryside, would probably ask a fortune-teller for a lucky date(usually an even number)so that their marriage would have"Double Happiness". The wedding ceremony is usually presided warmly ,and the wedding ceremony very often ends with a very extravagant banquet. Toasts are made to wish the new couple long life, eternal love and happiness, early birth of a healthy baby and so on.
Before the Chinese Wedding Day
Before her wedding celebration, a Chinese bride traditionally goes into seclusion with her closest friends. This Chinese custom gives the bride-to-be some time to symbolically mourn the loss of her friends and family.
Some time before the couple are married, the groom's family carries wedding gifts in red baskets and boxes to the bride's house. One of the baskets will contain "uang susu" or 'milk money'. Others will contain personal things for the bride, so that on her wedding day all of her personal belongings will be in the groom's house. The bride takes the gifts to another room where they are sorted through. Three days before the wedding day, women from the bride's family reciprocate, bearing gifts -- including some 'returns'-- in red wrappings to the groom's family.
