玩手机肯定是不行的。我帮你换了一个题目:学生上课应不应该使用手机。
Should Student Use Mobile Phone in Class
Having been employed in ecation for two decades now, I have seen a vast amount of change in this field. In truth, the only thing that stays the same in ecation is the fact that it is always changing! That being said, one of the biggest transformations which I have seen take place is in the area of technology. It is being used in ways we never even dreamed of when I first began teaching. It is quite remarkable and ecators have clamped onto technology in order to engage their learners and prepare them for the future. As with any innovation however, it does come with some growing pains and controversy. One of these problems has to do with cell phones. More to the point… should students be allowed to use cell phones at school? This can tend to be a divisive issue with strong opinions on both sides. When considering the question we need to examine the positives and negatives of students using cell phones at school. To do this, I have listed the points typically made by the proponents of both sides of the issue below.
Cell Phones SHOULD be Allowed at School:
1. Safety: A common argument made in favor of students having cell phones at school is the safety concern. They need cell phones in case of emergencies and need to be in contact with their parents. Others will argue that kids went ages without cellphones and managed just fine, so why all of a sudden to children need them to be safe? We do live in a different type of world these days and it usually means both parents are working and may be some physical distance away from their children. It also means more children are walking home on their own. Cell phones provide another layer of safety and security for children and parents alike.
2. B.Y.O.D. (Bring Your Own Device): Lets face it, ecation budgets are tighter than they have ever been. To combat this, students could bring their own device to school. A majority of students have ready access to cell phones and these can be used for free in schools. This can save the ecation system a vast amount of funds and can be a win-win for all.
3. Ecational Usage: Cell phones are not going away, that much is clear. These devices are becoming more advanced every single day and the modern technology is something our students need to know. Not only do they enable students access to the Internet and a variety of other communication networks, but they often provide such applications as list builders, planners and other tools which can be utilized by students. This is differentiated learning right at their fingertips.
4. Way of the Future: Cell phones are the way of the future. Instead of spending time and energy making sure students do not bring them to school, we should be investing that same energy into showing them how to use them properly. This includes teaching online safety as well as instruction on the huge amount of technological power and applications they have in their hands. This will be a life skill and it is the responsibility of ecators to teach life skills.
Cell Phones SHOULD NOT be Allowed at School:
1. Health: The actual effects of cell phones upon health is somewhat unknown and subject to a variety of studies. Many frequent cell phone users have complained of headaches as a negative health side effect of cell phone usage. Also, a study by Gaby Badre (Professor Badre MD, PhD- NeurologistBOC Sleep Centre) shows that students that use cell phones a lot experience restlessness and disruptive sleep patterns. (1) This is actually a factor which will continue to undergo a variety of studies in order to see the true correlation between cell phones and health.
2. Inappropriate Usage: There is absolutely no doubt that cell phones can be used by students inappropriately. There is actually a rather extensive list of how this can be done. For instance, cheating on tests through texting, cyberbullying, taking photos or videos of others, including teachers, without their knowledge. Many of these things can be done impulsively without proper reasoning and forethought.
3. Distractions: As if there are not already enough distractions in schools….cell phones brings yet another one. Ringing phones, online chats, and teachers stopping the class to deal with such issues not only serves as distractions, but ultimately prevents the students from obtaining the learning they are there to get in the first place.
4. Writing Habits: With cell phone usage comes texting. This is something which is virtually a whole new different type of language! Many will argue that by allowing cell phones in schools we are encouraging, and will exacerbate poor writing and grammar skills and is therefore counterproctive to the reason we are there in the first place.
5. Equity: I have listened, read and talked about many reasons for and against students having cell phones in schools. One point I do not see brought up very often is that of equity. We need to remember that not everyone has equal access to such technology as cell phones. They are expensive! If we allow students to bring cell phones and 95% of the students can afford to do so…what about that 5%? This can create a very inequitable situation based upon a variety of reasons, including socioeconomic status.
There can be little doubt that there are many powerful arguments on both sides of this issue. Essentially there really is no easy answer. The world is an ever changing entity…and we need to change with it. However, before doing so we need to weigh all factors and put a proper plan into place. This is especially true when working with children. The brain of a child is continuously developing right into althood and therefore matters such as impulsivity and not always thinking things through adequately are concerns. When weighing the pros and cons a plan needs to be created which will balance the factors. For instance, with the money school districts save by having students bring their own devices to school, they could create a fund for students who are not able to do so and therefore address the equity concern. Ecation is a continually transforming entity…that is true. We need to change with it, but also need to ensure planning and supports are put into place which will make it a proctive and beneficial change for all.
③ 对于学生是否应带手机上学观点的英语作文
Should students be allowed to bring mobile
phones to school?
Most children want a mobile phone and it is estimated that over 70% of children aged
between 10 and 14 now own one. The question of whether students should be allowed to
bring them to school has created considerable debate within the school community between
administration staff, teachers, parents and students.
No-one can deny the widespread popularity of new communication technologies and
Australia has one of the highest levels of mobile phone ownership in the world. Students
argue that being able to use this technology to talk to or text-message friends creates a
feeling of belonging to a group and helps develop their social skills. Most of a young
person’s social interaction happens ring or after school and not owning a mobile phone
and being able to receive up-to-date information from peers could lead to feelings of isolation
and low self-esteem. School surveys reveal that more than half of the student population
uses a mobile phone several times a day to make contact with either friends or family, which
psychologists argue enhances their social wellbeing.
Many parents are in favour of mobile phones being allowed in schools too. Safety issues are
their main concern and they like the reassurance of knowing they could contact their child at
any time if necessary. Scheling is another issue for parents. When plans change, activities
are cancelled or when someone is running late, a mobile phone comes in handy to make
alternative arrangements. More than 70% of parents regard mobile phones as valuable
monitoring devices for their child’s whereabouts.
On the other hand, school authorities believe that carrying a mobile phone could make a
child a more likely target for theft or violence, particularly on the street. Police statistics
reveal an increase in the number of crimes committed against young people that involve the
theft of mobile phones.
Furthermore, principals and teachers are concerned that students’ concentration could be
affected by having phones in the classroom. Instead of focusing on the teacher, students
may become distracted by the ringing or the vibrating of the phone or by reading a text
message. In addition, there is growing unease about the inappropriate use of mobile phones
and the many functions available on them, such as cameras. A recent survey in the United
States revealed that over 80% of students now cheat by ing homework or exam papers
with their mobile phone cameras. Whilst this may not be of concern in our primary schools,
the potential for this abuse remains.
The points of view on the issue of whether mobile phones should be allowed at school
clearly show justifiable and valid reasoning. To rece parents’ fears about the safety and
whereabouts of their children and to prevent inappropriate use of mobile phones and rece
the risk of theft and/or mugging, rules and regulations about their use at school have been
developed.

1. Phones must be turned off once the child reaches the school site.
2. Phones must be in bags, trays or handed to the class teacher for safe keeping.
3. A mobile phone agreement will be developed that outlines the rights and
responsibilities for the use of mobile technology whilst at school.
4. A breach of trust or the illegal use of such technologies will result in sanctions that
may lead to a complete ban of such technologies on the school grounds.

程馨田, 李艳宇. 中学生带手机进校园的利弊(学生英语习作)[J]. 散文百家, 2016(3):127.
Nowadays, people, especially students, are desperately crazy about getting their hands on the variety of handphones such as Iphone or the Galaxy Notes. However, there are advantages and disadvantages of bringing the handphone to school.
For one thing, handphones can make the lesson easier. A handphone has a lot of usages. For example, students can use the handphone to calculate in Mathematics lesson by using the calculator function. Furthermore, the students can also listen to music to release the tension ring recess.
On the other side of the coin, bringing handphone to school may invite the phone misuse. Taking and sharing inappropriate graphic materials is one of the misuses of handphone. Irresponsible students like to download and share the explicit materials although the materials are not suitable for them. Besides, it can help students to cheat in examinations easily. So, the increase in their marks means nothing because it does not show their true academic performance. Thus, there is no guarantee for the students to have a bright future.
Secondly, bringing handphone to school is very important because it can be used for emergency. For instance, when fire happens at school, the parents can call their children and ask about their condition. Besides, it can also be used when students are sick at school. They can call their parents to tell them about their health. They can also use their handphone to call their parents when they are late to return home.
Meanwhile, bringing handphone to school can cause many social problems. Problems like bullying and theft will arise because of the handphones. If the senior students see that their juniors are bringing more expensive handphones to school, they will feel threatened. As a result, they try to seize the handphone forcefully. Theft or stealing may also happen when a student carelessly leave his handphone in the classroom.
On top of that, handphones will become a distraction in the student’s lesson. New messages or incoming calls will surely distract the student’s focus on what the teacher is saying in front of the class. Their brain cannot cope with doing two different things at the same time.
In a nutshell, whether bringing the handphone to school is good or bad highly depends on how the students use it. Unfortunately, their immature behaviours are not suitable for this privilege because if you give them an inch, they will take a yard. Thus, the government should not allow the students to bring the handphone to school.
