It seems that, in this society, professional workers are improving the proctivity and providing direct service to others, while celebrities in sports and entertainment are not making such contributions. Therefore, some people claim a higher pay for the former over the latter. However, I would show my disagreement to their statement for the following reasons.

Professional workers do not contribute so much to society as celebrities in person. Any single worker in the professional field is not able to bring the happiness to such a large population as a famous person in sports or entertainment does. Also, an indivial professional employee cannot similarly bring glories to the country and enhance people』s sense of belongings to the nation. Otherwise, if they can, their payment will not be less.

Unlike the talents in celebrities that are invaluable, the abilities of professional workers, such as doctors, nurses and teachers can be trained and copied. An ordinary person can be ecated or trained to be engaged in those professional jobs, but not so many can be taught to play basketball so well as Yaomin and dance so gracefully as Jackson. Besides, the lack of a professional worker can be soon replaced by another one, while the loss of a celebrity may result in the limit of development in a certain field.

Admittedly, e to the large population of people working in professional fields and the direct service people receive from them, they may seem, at least superficially, be more closely related to the improvement of the life level of the public. However, in this information age when people are attaching more importance to their spiritual life and easier in obtaining information needed, the value proced by professional workers is not so high as that brought by the celebrities.

To sum up, I do not agree with the idea for professional workers to earn a higher salary than the sports and entertainment personalities. Only when a man』s value is measured by his overall contribution to society, can every field in the world be developed to its full.

例：The price experienced a great increase to 100 from 1950 to 1960.
句中的increase是一個名詞，謂語動詞則是experience。很多考生在數據表達時，一貫的使用動詞，而沒有意識到用名詞短語形式也可以很有成效地描述出來，而且在一定程度上也能夠增加字數，不過不是說，這種方法好就通篇全用，那麼就和通篇使用動詞形式的方法是一樣的結果，會給人以單調，毫無新鮮感的感覺，也會讓考官覺得語言應用能力有限。
第三種：There be + 變化的名詞+數據+in+某方面+時間
There be是常見的一種句型，意思是「有」，表示「人或事物的存在」或「某地有某物」。There在此結構中是引導詞，並不是副詞「那裡」的含義。
在小作文數據表達時，這種句型並沒有引起考生的重視，其實，如果能夠把此種句型應用的好的話，自然能夠達到句式多樣化的要求。
比如這樣一句話There was a great increase to 100 in the tourist numbers from 1950 to 1960.
不過要提醒考生一點的是，若是把動詞變成名詞的話，一定要確保正確，因為詞的動詞形式和名詞形式並不完全是統一的，有些是需要在原詞的基礎進行相應的改變，考生要多加註意。比如rise和increase這兩個詞，它們的動詞形式和名詞形式是一致的，而grow這個動詞變成名詞的話，是在後面加上th，即growth。
第四種：時間+見證+變化的名詞+數據+in+某方面
例：The 10-year period from 1950 to 1960 saw/ witnessed a great increase to 100 in the number of tourists.
這種句型在使用時，是有一定難度的，也是多數考生難以准確把握的。原因主要在於當時間做主語時，往往考生會不自覺的寫成時間狀語，那麼整句話就會出現語法錯誤，即句子結構混亂，比如該句中的The 10-year period 就會寫成in the 10-year period。
第五種：強調內容It is a noticeable trend that…..
省略號後面是所要強調的內容，也就是指明什麼是有明顯變化的趨勢的。比如這樣一句話：It is a noticeable trend that the price increased greatly from 1950 ($100) to 1960 ($150). 該句話中that後面指明price的變化趨勢。
