The Advantages of City Life
There are undeniable advantages to both life in a big city and in a small town. The former offers more excitement and convenience while the latter offers a cleaner, quieter and often friendlier place to live. However, despite the advantages of small town life, I prefer to live in a big city for several reasons.
First, life in the city is more convenient. More goods are available and stores are open later. Also, there is better public transportation so it is easier to get around. I can find almost anything I want easily in the city. Second, there are more ways to spend leisure time in the city. There are many places I can go to meet friends and have fun. Finally, and most importantly, the city offers more ecational and career opportunities. The city often attracts the best teachers and the best companies. There is also a wider choice of jobs so it is easier to move up the career ladder.
For all of these reasons, I prefer to live in the city. Although I sometimes miss the fresh air and quiet life of a small town, nothing can make up for the opportunities that the city offers me. If one wants to be successful, I believe the best place to live is the city.
都市生活的優點
在大都市和在小城鎮生活各有優點，這是不可否認的。前者提供給人們比較多的樂趣及便利，而後者則提供給人們一個比較干凈、安靜，而且通常更親切的居住場所。然而，盡管小鎮生活有這些優點，但基於某些理由，我還是比較喜歡住在大都市裡。
首先，都市生活比較方便，可以買到比較多的商品，而且商店營業時間比較晚。此外，都市裡有較好的公共運輸工具，到哪裡都比較容易。在都市裡，我幾乎可以輕易地找到任何我想要的東西。其次，在都市裡有更多的方式消磨休閑時間。有很多地方可以讓我去認識朋友，並且玩得很開心。最後，也是最重要的一點是，都市提供更多教育及就業的機會。都市往往能吸引最好的老師以及最好的公司。因為工作機會比較廣泛，所以要升遷也比較容易。
基於上述種種理由，我比較喜歡住在都市。雖然有時候我會想念小鎮新鮮的空氣及安靜的生活，但沒有什麼可以彌補都市提供給我的機會。如果想要成功，我認為最好的居住地點就是都市。

Urbanization has been a subject of heated discussion for a long time. Some people are in favor, while others are opposed. In my opinion, urbanization has both advantages and disadvantages.
Generally, the advantages of urbanization can be listed as follows. First,urbanization can quicken our pace to catch up with the developed countries. We all know that the developed countries are all highly urbanized. Second, urbanization will help to solve the problem of unemployment. It will create more job opportunities for the unemployed. In addition, urbanization will free a great number of farmers from the fields, thus realizing the dream of agricultural mechanization in our country. Finally, urbanization can improve the standards of living of the migrants who move to the urban area.
However,the disadvantages of urbanization are also obvious. To begin with,administration of the increasing population in urban area might be a great challenge to the government. Moreover, more problems, such as increasing crime rate, over crowding, might increase, since more people are concentrated in a relatively smaller place.
It is evident that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, I am in favor of urbanization.

Compared with cities, the country is relatively backward, but nothing can be com pared with the clean atmosphere and the gentle pace of living. Living in the country is very good for your health. With the deveJopment of economy, it is a trend that people will migrate from the city to the country.

What is bad if people live in city? As we all know, with the development of the society, the environment of the cities become worse and worse. It is like killing yourself to live in city. What is more, those people who live in city get more pressure, thanks to the increasingly fierce social competition.
In conclusion, there are some element of truth in both arguments. The question is whether we can find the belance between them. What we must do is to take te essence and discard the dregs.
