只要塗改不多，字跡清晰就行，單詞寫得難看與否關系不大。
同一篇作文，字寫得好壞得分差距最多就在2到3分，但塗改潦草就影響比較大了。塗改太多說明你單詞語法基本功不扎實，語言組織能力不強。

江蘇高考英語作文要上20分要注意以下幾個方面：
1.沒有低級的語法錯誤，例如there is do...等；
2.書寫清晰，至少不能讓人感覺不舒服，為此可以打一些關鍵句子的草稿；
3.句型要多變。比如多用倒裝句、狀語從句、主語和賓語從句、強調句等，這方面在考前可以分別找一些經典句子進行記憶，到時再模仿即可；
