People often give gifts to show their love and friendship.The best gift I have ever received is a hand-made calendar. It was made by my best friend Jane. On each page of the calendar, there is a picture of Jane and me with some words written by Jane. She either tells me how she feels about our friendship or encourages me to try my best and live a happy life. Whenever I look at the calendar, I am touched by something warm, and my heart is filled with love. It is a memory of the wonderful time which I spent with my best friend in junior high school. The best gift I have received was a puppy, which is given from my uncle when I was only eight years old; we choose to call it Bob. In the morning, I enjoy take him out and have a walk before breakfast with my dad, sometimes, we would even race against each other, to see who is faster. Suddenly she had an idea. She quickly got dressed, and prepared some breakfast for her mother. Before she left, she put a cold towel on her mom』s forehead.

She carried all the garbage to a recycling center and sold them. Jane finally earned some money, which was enough to buy some medicine for her mom. Her heart was filled with joy and happiness. On the way home, she picked some beautiful wild flowers.
When Jane arrived home, her mother was lying awake in bed. Jane smiled and said: 「I have bought some medicine for you.」 Then she poured some water and took out a pill. 「Here, take this,」 Jane said. Her mother smiled happily and did as she was told.
「I also picked some of your favorite flowers,」 Jane said and showed them to her mother. Suddenly, tears ran down from Jane』s mother』s face. 「You are the best daughter anyone could have.」
