『柒』 如何用英語寫文章

1. 用英文思考，就算是只知道幾百個單詞，也要用英文思考，這樣才有可能產生語感。這是最最基本的要求。

2. 大量閱讀。看自己感興趣的東西，不一定需要很難。《哈利波特》可以《冰與火之歌》也行，Stephan King
或是現代愛情小說也沒有什麼不可以(盡量找當代的東西)。這個階段其實還是培養語感。

3.
寫。其實並不需要一開始就追求「地道」，或是「文采」。初學者如果一開始就把目標定在這里，就會自覺不自覺地在不清楚怎麼用的情況下使用「看起來很牛」的詞或是句子。像是學開車一樣，一開始的目標並不是要學成漂移，而是安安穩穩地在保證自己和他人安全的前提下到達自己的目的地。

最重要的原則，是寫下來的東西一定要清楚明白。開始的時候請少用，甚至不用從句，永遠不用自己不認識的詞。如果一定要用新詞，要查英英詞典(桌子椅子這種性質的名詞除外)看例句，把副詞搭配和用法都弄清楚了才能用。Thesaurus一定要和英英字典結合著用。寫完之後，請通讀(可以讀出聲來)幾次，把明顯的單復數、時態和人稱錯誤都改好。段和句子都分好。看看整篇文章的邏輯清不清楚。這看起來很簡單，但是其實「地道」最基本的要求，就是讓別人能夠明白你想要表達的意思。

有三四年中，一個星期至少會有兩三個早上，我會坐在電腦前面打開當天的New York Times,
找出自己感興趣的文章，仔細閱讀，把覺得不錯或是一直不知道怎麼說的表達方式記在一個 legal
