Cars. They are one of most signifigent invention in the history of man. Cars have improved our life styles for more than a century. Recently, though ,global warming has brought out the serious effect of over using cars.That made me think. Are cars helping or destroying the human race?
Lets face it without cars life wouldn't be the same. Cars bring covenience. There is no need to be waiting at the bus stop for the bus that always arrives late, and cars can bring you to places where planes and trains simply cannot reach. Lastly, do you think you can manage a weekly trip to the supermarket without the help of a car carrying the weight of your groceries for you? I think not.
The car may have many advantages but every thing has its disadvantages. The cost to run a car can get very out of hand these days insurance, oil, MOT even the price to buy a decent car is expensive. Anyone who owns a car would know that one of the most annoying problems involving cars is traffic jams.
But driving can also be very dangerous you can never guess when or where an accident may happen. But one disadvantage is worse then all of the disadvantages put together: global warming. Reckless driving may only endanger your self and a few unlucky passerbys but overusing your car endangers the whole globe by global warming.
In conclusion, cars are of great importance to the human kind but their use should be more limited to help stop climate change.But hopefully with new discovery of energy resources,cars will be increasingly popular in the future.
