the diversity of my university life

Sometimes, my friends advise me not to tire myself out with such a tight schele. I wake up before the rooster crow, and continue working till very late when others are enjoying their sweet dreams. 1、抗腐微生物細菌
生存在牙齒上的細菌能夠將糖轉化為乳酸，而乳酸可以腐蝕牙釉質導致牙齒被蛀壞腐蝕。位於美國佛羅里達州的ONI BioPharma公司最新研製一種新型菌株，叫做「SMaRT」。它不會產生乳酸，卻會釋放出一抗菌素，可以殺死這些自然導致腐蝕的細菌。牙醫只需在牙齒上塗上一層SmaRT，即能實現避免牙齒被蛀蝕。目前在臨床測試階段，牙齒塗抹這種抗腐微生物細菌後便能夠永遠保持健康。
2、人造淋巴結
來自日本RIKEN研究院的科學家已成功研製出人造淋巴結，它可以生成免疫細胞用於對抗感染，雖然人造淋巴結有朝一日可以代替患病淋巴結，但目前人造淋巴結只能當成特意定製的免疫促進劑。醫師用特殊的細胞填充淋巴結能夠很好地治療某些疾病，比如：癌症和艾滋病。
3、哮喘感測器
據統計，哮喘病患者佔美國急診患者的四分之一，但目前由美國匹茲堡大學科學家最新研製的一種哮喘感測器能夠將哮喘就治人群數量直線下降。該感測器是一個手持型設備，外層是塗有一層聚合物的碳納米管，該納米管比人體頭發直徑還要細10萬倍。它能夠在短短1分鍾內直接分析出人體呼出的一氧化氮氣體數量，據悉，一氧化氮氣體是哮喘發作之前在肺部形成的一種氣體。
4、唾液即能檢測出癌症
之前醫生所採用的活組織檢查已過時，目前由美國加利福尼亞州大學洛杉磯分校的研究人員最新設計一種檢測裝置，僅需要提取患者的唾液樣本即能探測出該患者是否患有癌症，十分便捷有效。與癌細胞相關的蛋白質能夠對這種檢測裝置的色樣產生響應，一旦該裝置發現有癌細胞存在，便釋放出熒光線，可用顯微鏡進行探測到。加利福尼亞州大學洛杉磯分校工程師Chih-Ming Ho強調稱，我們可以使用類似的方法，通過唾液便能對多種疾病進行有效診斷分析。
5、生物起搏器
電子起搏器能夠挽救人的生命，但是長期使用電子起搏器會導致其硬體磨損最終使該儀器無法使用。目前，多家大學的研究人員正在致力研製一種不需要電池的起搏器，這種生物起搏器注入心臟受損區域，可實現在幹細胞中基因表達。該起搏器能夠更好地適應患者的生理狀況。經過實驗這種生物起搏器能夠減緩實驗狗的心臟跳動速率，直至達到正常跳動速率，而且並不出現任何並發症現象。
