「加班」英語是Overtime。
根據《勞動法》有關規定,一般指用人單位由於生產經營需要,經與工會和勞動者協商後,安排勞動者在法定工作時間以外工作。
由於加班是員工超出正常工作時間,在原本應該休息的時間內進行的工作,是工作時間在休息時間中的延伸。為了保護員工的休息權,國家對加班加點進行了嚴格的限制。
一般每日不得超過1小時,特殊原因情況下每日不得超過3小時,且每月不得超過36小時。需要注意的是,加班是建立在用人單位與勞動者協商基礎上的,用人單位不得強迫員工加班,員工也無權單方面決定加班。
