那時候，人們把考上大學看成是光宗耀祖的事，就像古代中了狀元一樣，即使是能考個中專也很了不起。國家拿錢讓你上大學，畢了業又包分配，成了國家幹部。但是上世紀八十年代，國家貧困落後，上高中成為一個奢望，更不用說上大學了。全河南省只有一萬多考生有機會上大學，可見那時候大學是多麼難考。
我那時候唯一奢望的是能考上大學。我身體不好，所以就把全部希望寄託到考大學上，希望考上大學跳出「農門」。
英語成績上不去我很著急，我下決心自學！我把初一到高中的英語課本都找出來，從最基礎學起。早上五點多起床，先鍛煉身體，然後在路燈下背書。其它時間一有空，就把書上的句子譯成漢語，再合上課本把漢語譯成英語，反復練習。默寫單詞，課文，沒有本子，就找舊報紙來用。反正用完了後，還可以賣錢。

說說我的英語學習
今天一早起來准備和老外一起去爬長城。說起長城，實在慚愧，兄弟我來北京3年半了，一直都沒能空出時間逛逛走走，只是壘過一次長城，胡過一把清一色，卻沒有真正看過長城牆邊的景，拔過長城牆頭的草。所以我也剛好借著這次機會充實一下個人閱歷。我們准備上午去爬八達嶺長城，中午就在那邊吃飯，然後下午在回來的路上順便去十三陵挖墓，怎麼樣，這個計劃不錯吧？

早上8點半，我先和導游，司機在酒店門口集合，然後去找石教授夫婦。在大廳里我碰見了石太太——超級瑪麗夫人，她一見我就非常親切的問候了一句：「How are you？」我聽了一愣：嗯？How are you——怎麼是你？頓了5秒鍾才反應過來，趕緊回了一句I'm OK。汗死，看來以後joke版得少去了。

在酒店房間碰到石教授的時候，他正在收拾行李，我本想在外面等他，可他把我叫住，遞給我一本英文的旅遊手冊，說這手冊是他在美國買的，上面說在北京附近有一個叫慕田峪的長城比八達嶺好，問我可不可以去這個地方玩。慕田峪？我聽都沒聽說過，只好先去問問。

下樓找到司機師傅：「師傅，慕田峪長城在哪裡？」「在慕田峪唄。」「哦，好吧。」我又找到導游小姐：「導游小姐，慕田峪長城好嗎？」「比八達嶺人少。」「風景怎麼樣？」「長城就是一堆石頭，都一個樣。」「哦，好吧。」就這樣八達嶺變成了慕田峪，十三陵的墓挖不成了。

趁著石教授收拾行李的工夫，瑪麗找我聊天，也許是她注意到前幾天一起吃西餐時我沒有參與有關政治話題的討論，所以很好奇的問我是不是不關心政治？中國人是不是普遍不怎麼關心政治？

我聽完了忽然有些激動，很想回問她一句：「Are me kidding you？」像我這樣一個極具理想主義色彩浪漫主義色彩愛國主義色彩以及各種色彩的有志文學小青年，怎麼可能關心政治？想當初兄弟我有著多麼慘絕人寰的過去，我考了三次研究生，卻有兩次政治不及格，第三次拼了老命才考了一個65分，啊，回憶起來直到現在我都很受傷，政治是我心中永遠的痛！我躲都躲不及，又怎麼敢再去關心它？！全中國有十幾億人，愛誰關心誰關心，反正我tmd這輩子是再也不敢了。

咳咳，不好意思，沖動是魔鬼，要剋制，嗯，要冷靜。

最後，我只是面帶微笑心平氣和的告訴她，中國有十幾億人，如果每個人都關心政治，這個國家會亂套di（mess）。所以大多數老百姓對政治並不關心。而且呢，中國窮人多，大多數人對自己衣食住行的問題還招呼不過來呢，怎麼還會有那些閑情逸致？（當然我的英語原話不是這么說的，我的英語水平還達不到出口就帶成語的程度，這只是大意）。瑪麗聽了就沒有再問。

石教授收拾好了，我們5個人坐一輛轎車，奧迪A6，就是牌子上有好幾個環那種車（是叫奧迪A6吧？），石教授夫婦看到這車，覺得很有派頭，跟我說這個車很nice，我倒沒什麼感覺，因為我老土，奧迪和夏利哪個車貴著急我都弄不清楚。。。。。

上了車我和不會講英語的司機師傅坐前排，導游陪倆老外坐後排，這樣在路上主要是他們仨聊，我可以好好歇歇（咱找導游就是為了這個！）。

這個女導游年紀跟我相仿，本科是英語專業的，據她說她干導游3年多了，帶過無數的外國客人。可是據我觀察，她的口語發音並沒有我想像中那麼好，至少以我上次作為人民群眾偷窺科學院英語大賽注意到的情況看來，科院有很多理工科的女孩子英語發音水平都在她之上。所以還是那句話，不要迷信專業！

一路上石太太給導游講述他們來中國的行程，來北京之前，他們先去了杭州，又爬了黃山，可是杭州的「州」字跟黃山的「山」字，她總是說不準。導游試圖教他們兩句中文，糾正一下這兩個字的發音，未果。在這關鍵時刻我又出嘴了，我說杭州的「州」和joke的jo發音差不多，黃山的「山」和shampoo的sham發音差不多，於是問題迎刃而解，連老外都說「it helps」，噢耶！導游在一邊笑翻了。

講到這里我想起了小時候學英語時的笑話，那時候流行用中文發音相近的詞套英文，比如「See you tomorrow」會被人念作「誰又偷貓肉」，雖然不是非常准確，但挺有意思。現在看來，老外學中文也能這么干，而且確實管用。hoho

我們又聊起了北京這個城市，導游說北京是個國際大都市，有大約2000萬人口，石太太就突然問我是北京人嗎？我說不是，我來自一個叫hohhot的城市，那裡只有300萬人口，是個小城市。倆老外聽了之後都咋了咋舌，石太太說他們也住在Yale大學附近的一個小城市，那個城市大概有1500人，我說在中國這不叫小城市，甚至連鎮子（town）都稱不上，充其量只是個村子（village），而且還是個小村子（small village）。說著，我不禁哼了一句：「村裡有個姑娘叫小芳，長得好看又善良，一雙美麗的大眼鏡，辮子粗又長。。。」司機師傅居然笑了，奇怪，他不是聽不懂嗎？

開車跑了一個半小時，終於到地方了。我下車看了一眼路邊的牌子，慕田峪長城，果然就在慕田峪！

司機師傅不跟我們爬長城，他負責在下面停車看行李；導游小姐負責去買票，她買票可以打折；我和兩個老外負責上廁所。。。。。。

我想在這里還是先分個段吧，長城的游記等我上完廁所回來再繼續寫。

㈨ 作文：我的英語學習

英語一直是我最頭痛的一門功課。因為在我看來有無數個毫無規律的英語單詞要背誦，還有那莫名其妙的聽力，都令我煩惱不已。但這學期我發現我似乎對這門討厭的功課產生了興趣。
事情的起因是爸爸出差到北京，給我帶回了一台「讀書郎」英語同步讀書機。我立刻被它漂亮的外表吸引住了，因為它像一台高檔的筆記本電腦。打開讀書機，左邊是音標，分為母音、輔音；右邊是26個英語字母。最大的好處是它可以下載我上課用的PEP教材。媽媽讓我打開英語課本，翻到第1頁，把讀書機中的頁碼調至相同頁碼，我再用那神奇的信號筆一點，點到哪兒，讀書機就發出標準的讀音，點第二遍時它就譯出這個單詞的中文含義，真是太神奇了！
剛開始幾天，我每天一放學就抱著這台「讀書郎」，漸漸地新鮮勁也就過去了。媽媽看準了時機，立即調動我的積極性，把老師當天教的英語單詞分批教我，並慢慢告訴我這個字母在單詞中所發的音。這樣，日積月累，慢慢地我對有些字母的發音規律也有所掌握。正像媽媽所說的那樣，一旦你會讀准這個單詞，那麼這個單詞的一半已被記住，只要稍一用心，就可記住全部。媽媽告訴我：學習英語要循序漸進，因為記憶會衰減，所以學單詞時，先學一遍，過一會兒復習一遍，到第二天再復習一遍，一星期、一個月內再次復習，這樣能把短期記憶變成長期記憶。這種方法叫作「思馬德記憶」。按照媽媽所說的方法，我試了一下。哎，果真有效果！漸漸地我對背誦單詞有點竅門了。這個學期六個單元所要求的四會單詞，我全部做到了會「聽、說、讀、寫」。
因為背誦單詞有了明顯的進步，得到了老師的表揚，我的學習熱情倍增，對聽力也產生了興趣。現在我拿到聽力課文，不象以前那樣手忙腳亂，而是先把課文、圖案看一遍。如果是選擇題，我會看清圖案，了解這幾幅圖的大致含義，再聽錄音。我現在能抓住幾個重點詞語與圖案進行對照，基本能做到准確無誤。對閱讀也同樣，抓住幾個關鍵詞語和下面的問題進行對照。
以上幾點僅是我對學習英語的幾點體會。同學們，你們是不是也和以前的我一樣，對學習英語非常頭痛，其實不用害怕，只要堅持不懈，今天記不住的單詞明天再記，反反復復，我相信你一定會成功。讓我們一起努力，共同進步吧！
