Cease Your Hunting for Privacy

Their single motive is to raise the publication and hence a huge profit by means of satisfying the readers' curiosity in the name of "people's right to know." However, at the same time, the bad effects they bring to the famous people, the public readers and even the whole society are countless.

Standing in the shoes of those exposed people, you'll find out that their legal right of privacy is deprived by such press attention. What awaits them is severe injury. To escape the hunters, Catherine Zeta Jones, when conceiving her second child, had to pay millions of dollars in avoiding cameras of those who illegally broke in, the result of which is that the other day when she got
up, the reports titled "Catherine spent
six million dollars..." dramatically appeared on the front page of all news

What a ridicule! The reporters' ability to hunt privacy turns out endless nightmares of the famous who are under the pressure of public media and suddenly become sensitively cautious or easily raged, being afraid of losing their reputation and receiving accidental insults. Compared with Princess Diana who was famous and popular at the cost of her young, beautiful life, should Catherine say "Thank you?"

Thanks to whom? To theprivacy hunters, the public media, the social phenomena caused by newspapers and magazincs; feature stories, or maybe all of us who are misled by such media? With our curiosity to others' privacy wrongly aroused, our taste of culture and life is on the decrease, our passion transferred from our own life and career. What's worse, we eventually become the accomplices who join in the vicious cycles of the whole enterprise.

At least two main victims suffer in the hunting.

And the third is no doubt the whole society who bears all kinds of losses, from the suicide of the young talented actress to the give up of new stars in scientific field who intended to devote their brilliance to the whole world. Even the prime minister of Britain is recently bothered by the "scandal" of his wife. As a result, he fails to deal efficiently with the national events.

To avoid such tragedies, hunters, please cease your illegal photography, and your dangerous hunting for privacy.

『伍』 英語話題作文(以名人該不該有隱私為話題)

In recent years, many newspapers and magazines focus on the activities of film stars, pop singers and some other famous men and women. Reporters disguise their identities, infiltrate the subject』s business and family, or even bug and wiretap them——to get the news by whatever means are necessary.
It is not difficult to explain the reason for their surprising amount of interest in famous people』s lives. They are in the spotlight, renowned or notorious, they are the topic of ordinary people who like to know everything about them. To satisfy their curiosity, or 「the people』s right to know」, journalists often find it their ty to report their activities.
More over, what matters to a newspaper or a magazine is the number of readers. A large readership means the rise in the circulation of their publications, hence a huge profit. Since film stars and pop singers are newsworthy figures, and their stories draws far more attention than those of other people, it is natural that the press tries to attract them to buy their magazines by featuring private lives of famous people.
How ever, those exposed people can be severely injured by such press attention. Sensational stories about their private lives cause great unhappiness to them. To escape reporters, they can』t even lead a normal life. Sometimes their lives will be in danger. For example, Princess Diana died in a car accident as she attempted to escape photographers in a chase through Paris.
Famous people are also citizens. They have the right to keep their own privacy like ordinary people——the basic right which should be respected, protected and guaranteed by our laws in whatever circumstances.

『捌』 英語作文!寫一篇關於媒體應不應該播報名人的私生活的英語作文,謝謝!

Media and Famous PeopleIn almost every form of media, including television, newspapers and magazines, a great deal of attention is paid to the personal lives of celebrities. It seems that the public cannot get enough of this kind of news. However, I believe that the media have a responsibility to present a balanced view of the world, as well as respect the lives of public figures. Therefore, I believe that the media pay too much attention to the personal lives of famous people. For people who are fascinated with the lives of public figures there are some forms of media devoted exclusively to this topic. They can satisfy their curiosity by buying fan magazines and watching TV shows devoted to entertainment news. The general media should present all types of information because people have different interests. Furthermore, the practice of dwelling on the private lives of celebrities can lead people to pay more attention to these matters than they otherwise would. Perhaps most importantly, the media should respect the privacy of every indivial, including public figures. They may have chosen to be in the public eye, but that does not give the public the right to know everything about them. Moreover, many stories about celebrities are untrue; they are only gossip reported to increase sales of magazines and other media. They are unfair to the famous and mislead the public. For all of these reasons, I believe that the media should pay more attention to matters other than the private lives of public figures. In this way, they can appeal to a wider audience and encourage people to develop other interests. In my opinion, the media currently pay too much attention to the private lives of public figures.
