因材施教。雖然在我國每天都在提因材施教,但並沒有幾個人理解因材施教的真諦。反而

賞識教育。在中西方都有賞識教育,中國的賞識教育比較模糊籠統,對孩子做的比較好的

的少,光心裡著急是不夠的。
懲罰教育。在中西方都有懲罰教育,在中國孩子受到懲罰都是以大人的眼光來判斷,比如
孩子把東西拆壞了,家長往往要打罵孩子,而在西方家長認為孩子並沒有錯,反而鼓勵孩
子多動手。
愛心教育。我在書中了解的和我親眼看到的西方人的愛心有勝於我們。

學校的教育
中西方教育的本質區別:
西方教育是一種嘗試教育,先讓學生嘗試進行體驗,在體驗中發現難點,然後在解決難點
中積累經驗,最後,得出結論,那是真正屬於自己研究的成果。
中國教育是一種灌輸式教育,先將成人的經驗告知學生,讓學生按已有成功經驗去操作(並
非所謂的真學習)按部就班,在經驗的指導下學習實踐,同樣,也是可以得到自己的結論,
但是往往很難跳出已有的固定模式。
兩者的最大差異就在於西方教育以人為本,從人的學習的本能出發,符合學習論,而中國
教育是一種消除錯誤的「生產」教育,將學生當作產品,希望在生產線上生產出的是合格
品,而不是次品。正是不能正視「學習是可以犯錯的」這一規律,使得學生缺乏應有的創
新思維。
從教師在課堂中所起的作用看中西方文化教育的差異:
西方教育大都是基於人文思想展開的,從小開始培養人的實踐和分析能力,鼓勵思想的自
由,並對自己的言行負責。教師的作用,主要是指引者,往往像朋友一般和學生一起去探
討問題,對於學生的疑問,經常一指圖書館,讓學生自己去尋找資料,自己做出判斷,盡
可能的不去影響學生的自主思考。它最大可能的保護了人類創造力的根源--思想的自由和
自主。
如何讓學生在課堂上感覺開心,使學生能夠積極投入學習,這在西方是老師常常思考的問
題。同時教師鼓勵學生在課堂積極發言,學以致用。
中國,課堂屬於老師,老師在講台上濤濤不絕的講課,學生認真的聽講、記筆記,對課本
的答案和教師的答案深信不疑,是一種傾向性的灌輸式教育。學生和老師之間缺乏緊密溝
通,造成學生被動的接受知識,牢而不固。
考生成績的計算方式也是中西方文化教育的一個顯著差異:
在西方學生成績的計算方式是:課堂紀律和出勤率佔15%,課余作業成績佔15%,小組互動
討論佔20%,論文寫作和答辯佔50%,從這幾個方面來綜合評估學生的綜合情況,比較客
觀和公正。由於西方教學的目的是運用,而不是分數,所以分數只是一個參考值。
在中國,成績是學生、家長和學校的命根子,一切唯高分是從。一些綜合分數低,而偏科

中國教育重視基礎知識的鞏固,注重知識的灌輸和知識的熟練掌握,視「精」和「深」,
以數學為例,中國教育使用題海戰術,教師讓學生重復練習,直至「爐火純青」的地步;所
以說,中國教育是「精英」教育,把那些不能把知識學得精深的人淘汰出去。中國教育要
求數理化各科面面俱到,哪一科學得不好都有可能對人生前途造成致命的影響。
家庭的教育
社會的競爭,決不僅僅是知識和智能的較量,更多的是意志、心理狀態和做人的比拼。由
於歷史傳統、社會文化背景的不同,中西方家庭教育觀念存在著巨大的差異,從這些差異
中,我們可以找出許多值得中國家長學習的觀念和做法--
西方家長從小就培養和鍛煉孩子的自立意識和獨立生活能力。重視孩子從小的自身鍛煉,

草、粉刷房屋、簡單木工修理等活計。此外,還要外出當雜工,如夏天替人推割草機、冬
天鏟雪、秋天掃落葉等。在這種潛移默化的過程中,孩子逐漸成長為具有獨立生存能力和
社會責任感的公民。
中國的許多家長望子成龍心切,因而超越孩子實際水平的高要求、拔苗助長的教育方式、
恨鐵不成鋼的態度在家庭里到處彌漫。在孩子的成長過程中,除生活上加倍關心外,家長
最關心的是孩子的學習。似乎學習好就是萬能的,而對孩子的獨立生活能力、社會適應能
力、心理健康程度、道德情操以及公民意識等則關心甚少,有的甚至完全不顧。從孩子出
生到成年,家長幾乎把孩子的一切都包了下來,做飯、洗衣服、打掃、攢錢供孩子讀大
學、出國、結婚、養兒育女等。盡管我們的家長都希望孩子成才、幸福,而這樣的家庭教
育既不可能令孩子成才,也難以讓孩子得到幸福,因為社會的競爭,決不僅僅是知識和智

西方的家長更加重視孩子健康心理的培養,因而很注意與孩子的情感交流,關心孩子的心
理需要。家長把快樂教育作為一項重要的教育內容來實施。他們經常和孩子一起討論問
題,孩子遇到不順心的事也願意跟家長商量。心理學的研究表明,健康的心理對於孩子的
成才和健康人格的塑造至關重要。
而中國家長對子女的關心基本上集中在孩子的生理需要方面,很少關心甚至根本無視孩子
的心理需求,忽視孩子健康心理的培養和性格、意志的磨煉。其結果是在相當程度上導致

而中國家長往往「滿足於克隆」,教導孩子在前人面前止步。對孩子的探索活動大部分是
持否定態度的。他們往往把孩子自己進行的「探索活動」視作「胡鬧」而加以制止。例如
美國孩子拆了家裡的鬧鍾,若能裝回,多數家長會稱贊孩子,若是裝不回,許多家長會與
孩子一道把鬧鍾裝上,甚至鼓勵孩子再拆、重裝一次。但中國孩子若拆了家裡的鬧鍾,就
算自己能裝回,恐怕也沒幾個敢告訴家長的。孩子往往在家長的嚴格管教下被熄滅了創造
性火花。
從以上的對比中我們不難看出,中西方的家庭教育從宏觀到微觀都存在著顯著的差異。外
國家長重視的恰恰是中國家長忽視的。西方家長教導孩子:跌倒了自己爬起來,做錯事自己
糾正,自尊並尊重別人,全身心鍛煉,按興趣學習。他們鼓勵孩子成為夢想家,成為自己
心目中的成功者。中國的家長們,您不妨借鑒一下。
社會環境的影響
中國最缺的,是責任教育!對自己的言行負責,對社會、民族負責!教育不是只在學校,還
在家裡,在周圍環境,在社會氛圍。而現在,常見到家長,學校,周圍環境在推卸責任:
家長說:「我把孩子送到學校,教育好他就是學校的責任」;
學校說:「他逃學都是因為周圍的網吧,歌房太多了」;
網吧老闆說:「我只是開一家店掙點錢養家糊口,是他自己逃學來玩的」。
來看看美國,經常可以見到大人教育小孩,而那個小孩並不是他的孩子,大人也不是什麼
