就在我自以為普通電視足令人欣賞中，沒想到老師又告訴我們：「有線數字電視在我國問世了。而且在首都北京十一個城區中，已有150多萬居民開始使用有線數字電視。」數字電視？真新鮮，在我的腦子中，有數碼機拍片，數碼相機，現在居然又有了數字電視？它像一塊磁鐵深深地吸引了我，使我對這個新產品產生了濃厚的興趣，我決心弄明白這個數字電視的「身份」。於是我開始忙乎起來，找資料、問老師、上網查。
原來數字電視是一種新的收看電視的方式，只要入有線電視網，在家中的電視機旁裝一個名為「機頂盒」的機器，就可以看到數字電視。這就使普通的電視成為集「信息、服務、文化娛樂、交流互動」於一體的數字多媒體信息終端，它能把現在的電視節目壓成數字信號，騰出一大片空間再輸入儲存幾百套節目，讓你盡情選擇。這樣不但能讓我們收看到更多更好的節目，享受到及時准確的政務信息，節目指南和生活資訊的豐富內容，而且清晰度之高畫質穩定，同時還可以欣賞到與DVD相媲美的視頻音頻效果,它簡直是電視、電腦、DVD所有功能的組合。哇！太神奇了。
數字電視這么高級，這么實用，這么富有吸引力，我真巴不得立刻擁有，坐在電視機前操縱。收看對我學習，成長有用的內容。哎，什麼時間我家能有？我盼望著那個具有魔力般的機頂盒一旦光顧到我家的電視機旁，那麼我的美夢就成真的嘍！
今天是周末，爸爸媽媽都出去逛街了，我一個人悶得慌，不想寫作業，只想看電視。我打開電視，耳邊突然響起爸爸的話：「好好在家寫作業，不許看電視。」不看電視，那干什麼？我想了半天，還是決定看電視，反正爸媽不在家，看不見，如果爸爸媽媽早回家，我就在他們跨進家門前關掉電視。嗯，憑我的小巧機智，這點難不倒我。
我打開電視，半躺在沙發上，把音量開得很小，為的是能聽到外面的動靜。看了一會兒，我還是有點兒不放心，躺在沙發上看電視，舒服是舒服，可是用遙控器不能關掉電源啊！要是爸爸突然闖進屋……我「呼」地從沙發上站起來，搬來凳子，坐在電視機前面，鼻子都快要貼到電視機上了，這樣一旦發現有「敵情」，我就可以立刻關掉電源， 「罪證」就被我毀得一干二凈了。
大約過了三個小時，樓道里傳來一陣陣腳步聲，我強作鎮靜，仔細分辨著腳步聲。是爸爸的腳步聲？不是。
電影太有趣了，一個武打場面接著又一個武打場面，不知不覺兩部片子快放完了。「噔噔噔……」腳步聲大極了，幾乎震得整座樓房都搖晃起來了，像極了爸媽的腳步聲。說時遲，那時快，我已迅雷不及掩耳之勢，逮住按鈕，重重地按下去……
「咣」我家的鐵門開了，果真是爸爸媽媽回來了。我飛也似的跑回書房。坐在書桌邊，暗暗慶幸。突然，爸爸一步躍進來，大聲喊道：「又看電視了！」「哪有？」我舉起手中的書，喊道：「沒見我正看書嗎？」板著臉的爸爸一下子笑成了一團：「你看的什麼書呀？」我趕緊低下頭，哎呀，我把語文書拿倒了……
