Ⅰ 以中英文化交流周活動為題寫一篇英語作文
During the past two years, all roads have been leading to Copenha-gen and the crucial UN climate convention meeting. That is part of the reason for the efforts China has made towardcurbing greenhouse gas emissions and China Daily's publishing Evolutionof Green China is of tremendous importance. The Chinese media have been working hard to enre the push foraction to combat climate change, and to preserve and improve the environment. Media, such as China Daily, work to ensure these goals areadvanced by society at all levels, from that of ordinary people to those ofnational and international leadership. We are all greatly indebted to theirtireless work work such as that which has been collected in this enlight-ening collection of China Daily's comprehensive environmental reports.
This conference will either prove to be a dead end, a delay, a detour or a
gear-changing moment in human affairs.
At stake is perhaps the most important international treaty sinceWorld War II one that can put more than 190 nations on a lowcarbon, resourceefficient Green Economy path that is necessary if the worldis to thrive, let alone survive, over the coming decades and century. Someare already writing off Copenhagen, but this is decidedly premature.
The last two years has witnessed an explosion in the number of cre-ative and costeffective options that, if pursued in whole or in part bygovernments, can make it possible to seal a scientifically credible deal.
Many economies have actively embraced environmental investmentsnot as a burden, but rather as a key path for job creation and recoveryin the face of the worst economic crisis in a generation.

Ⅷ 文化交流的重要性的英語作文
Communication is an important mean of expressing yourself because it exists different ways of expression and so different kind of communication depending on the culture you belong to .
The way of communicating will not be the same as other countries and it is important to know some values of other cultures and so of other ways of communicating for, first of all, avoiding some misunderstandings and then knowing better some aspects of different cultures .
That is why cross-cultural communication is an essential exercise to do; a person who come from a certain country does not necessarily get the same ideas about time, death, identity, as an other one from a different country because each person has its own identity .
First, a national identity, defned by a surname, a first name, citizenship, and a "personal" identity perceived as what are your activities, your opinions about issues or your experience in life .
Sometimes, your own identity can be modified or influenced by different factors, for example religion, your environment, your family.
The latter example seems to be a paradox because you can get your own opinions about something but you can be "influenced" by your familial surrounding or the society where you live(especially some notions that parents and even society teach you when you are a child, as patriotism or nationalism) .
This influence can replace your previous vision of life and changing your way of expressing yourself and so your way of communicating but you can also adapt this influence to your own way of thinking and it can be resulted in a different way of communicating .
In spite of a certain influence coming from a close surrounding, everyone can develop its own identity through its opinions and experience and this is interesting to notice that even within a close group of people, each person get different
Ⅸ 英語作文關於中外文化交流字數60到80
The News Report has always been my favorite TV program. Almost everyday I turn on the TV at 6:30 p.m. and wait for the news program. This has become a part of my life.
The News Report contains a large amount of information C from the international political situation to the latest foot-ball game. And the most important character is its fast pace. Because of this fast pace, news programs can contain much information in a short time.
In my opinion, the News Report is more than a TV program. It is a way of communication. From this program, people can know and understand world affairs. The world thus becomes smaller and smaller. I especially appreciate this benefit of watching the news.
How something changed me
I don't konw when and how the life changed me to be the one who is typing in this article. But I know I am changing graally.
From the biological aspect, I am changing in seconds. My skin will become old and then die, my blood cells need to be replaced by new ones. There are millons of biochemical reations happening in my body every seconds. Yeah, that's true. Compared with the girl wose owned the name' HH', the currently HH is more beautiful. In these years, I became to have confidence in my apprence. At least, I am not so ugly as I usually thought.
At the same time, I cam to know what is a society. In a society, you cannot live alone. You must communicate with others. When you do everything, you need to meet with some pleple. Yes, I need to face the world. Never to escape from the true world and the relationships in the true world. I was afraid of meeting with strangers even till now. But the enviroment pushs me to change myslef.
I am always an emotional one. Maybe, more rational thinking should be concted before I make any dicision. Er, I need to learn about this.
Some bad things happened on me when I grew to be the current one.:( I lost my former interest in reading, maybe because of other media such as movie, TV and internet. I cannot focus on studying as before. There are many other things I will consider.
I am always on my way to find out who I am and who I want to be. Till now, there is still no answer. Maybe the real answer will not be found till the last moment. But at least, I own my experience today and more in future. I don't know what I want to be so I need to know more and try more before I get to the right place

The key to effective cross-cultural communication is knowledge. First, it is essential that people understand the potential problems of cross-cultural communication, and make a conscious effort to overcome these problems. Second, it is important to assume that one』s efforts will not always be successful, and adjust one』s behavior appropriately.
For example, one should always assume that there is a significant possibility that cultural differences are causing communication problems, and be willing to be patient and forgiving, rather than hostile and aggressive, if problems develop. One should respond slowly and carefully in cross-cultural exchanges, not jumping to the conclusion that you know what is being thought and said.
William Ury』s suggestion for heated conflicts is to stop, listen, and think, or as he puts it "go to the balcony" when the situation gets tense. By this he means withdraw from the situation, step back, and reflect on what is going on before you act. This helps in cross cultural communication as well. When things seem to be going badly, stop or slow down and think. What could be going on here? Is it possible I misinterpreted what they said, or they misinterpreted me? Often misinterpretation is the source of the problem.
Active listening can sometimes be used to check this out– repeating what one thinks he or she heard, one can confirm that one understands the communication accurately. If words are used differently between languages or cultural groups, however, even active listening can overlook misunderstandings.
Often intermediaries who are familiar with both cultures can be helpful in cross-cultural communication situations. They can translate both the substance and the manner of what is said. For instance, they can tone down strong statements that would be considered appropriate in one culture but not in another, before they are given to people from a culture that does not talk together in such a strong way. They can also adjust the timing of what is said and done. Some cultures move quickly to the point; others talk about other things long enough to establish rapport or a relationship with the other person. If discussion on the primary topic begins too soon, the group that needs a "warm up" first will feel uncomfortable. A mediator or intermediary who understands this can explain the problem, and make appropriate proceral adjustments.
Yet sometimes intermediaries can make communication even more difficult. If a mediator is the same culture or nationality as one of the disputants, but not the other, this gives the appearance of bias, even when none exists. Even when bias is not intended, it is common for mediators to be more supportive or more understanding of the person who is of his or her own culture, simply because they understand them better. Yet when the mediator is of a third cultural group, the potential for cross-cultural misunderstandings increases further. In this case engaging in extra discussions about the process and the manner of carrying out the discussions is appropriate, as is extra time for confirming and re-confirming understandings at every step in the dialogue or negotiating process.
