Zhaozhou Bridge is a stone arch bridge that was built in more than one thousand years ago. It is the oldest bridge that is still used today in China. It is a wonderful artifact.
The grand bridge is 50 meters long and 10 meters wide. Modern scientists proved that the bridge was designed and constructed perfectly, and the design of the building can fit physical laws well. Therefore, the bridge is very firm and can exist there since one thousand years ago.
The bridge is not only firm, but also very beautiful. The arch of the bridge is similar to a bow instead of a circle so that the road of bridge is much flatter than the other arch bridges. There are many sculptures on the two sides of the bridge, they make the bridge be a great artifact. An ancient poet said that the Zhaozhou Bridge is like a rainbow or the waning moon.
I think the bridge has many interpretations. One of them is that ancient China was very good at construction and science. The question is, are the environmental issues a national problem or an international problem? It is my belief that the environmental issues have grown to the point of becoming an international problem needing international cooperation to resolve.
Because of the differences in environmental policies, resources and technology, international cooperation could provide quicker results and have a greater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations of differing environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology. By pooling international resources and technology to address the environmental problems, the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed. Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting the resources and environment of the world as a whole.
One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmental issues is the difference in indivial nations view and policies toward environmental protection. In order for international cooperation to occur and succeed, the nations of the world must submit themselved to international standards and supervision by an international commission elected by the participating nations of the world. All members must agree to abide by the standards established.
The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world. The impact is long term and international in scope. Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole, depletion of the ozone layer, water pollution, air polution, etc., the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation, not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their indivial environmental problems.
As part of the same planet, it is the responsibility of each indivial and nation to protect the global environment. Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment.

Most Embarrassing Moment
My most embarrassing moment was when I ended up naked on stage – this has happened twice.
The first time was when I was eleven years old and in my last year of primary school. Our school was putting on an end-of-year proction of Aladdin. I was playing the villain Abanazar. There was a scene in which Abanazar is holding the lamp. I can』 remember exactly but either Wishie Washie or Widow Twankey insists on washing Abanazar』s clothes and yanks down my trousers revealing a pair of white boxer shorts with large red hearts. I have to drop the lamp in order to pull up my trousers and Aladdin gets the lamp.
Unfortunately for me on the night of the show both the trousers and boxers came down. It was absolutely mortifying. Even more mortifying when I later realised how many video cameras were recording.
The second time was about seven years later. I was seventeen and in my last year of high school. My school was putting on Grease. I was playing Roger, the class clown who enjoys 『mooning』 people. For those of you not familiar with the stage musical Roger sings 『Mooning』 with Jan. The song is about Roger』s talent of exposing his backside. At the end of the number I turn around and quickly moon the audience. This was mildly embarrassing but not too much as I was prepared for it, as it was part of the role.
There is a later scene where the boys have been challenged to rumble by Cha-Cha』s friends. We meet up and in the other boys joke that I could moon them. They tackle me to the ground and pull down my jeans. I rush offstage after the boys pulling my jeans up as I go. The audience laughs. Well that』s how it is meant to go.
Everything went perfect on opening night but on the second night there was a real sense of déjà vu when my boxers came down as well as the jeans. I quickly pulled the boxers back up and carried on with a bright red face. This incident was far more embarrassing than the previous. What seventeen year old wants to go full-frontal in front of a crowded room? I am thankful that e to right laws that photography was not permitted.
After the show a teacher complimented me on being a true professional for carrying on with the show. That conversation was nearly as embarrassing. I made sure for the next two performances that I wore boxer briefs under the boxers incase it happened again. Sure enough on the final night the boxers sort of slid down with my jeans but thankfully no one got a view like before. Of course this was the talk of the school and I never heard the end of it.
