The two large windows over the bed are hidden by heavy dark gold drapes. Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. It has a brown wooden chair which seems to fill the left end of the room.Stuffed under the desk is a wooden wastepaper basket overflowing with paper and debris. The wall above the bookcase and desk is completely taken up with two small posters. On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes,shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. Everytime I walk out of the door, I think, "Now I know what it is like to live in a closet."

My Room
I have my own room. It is big and nice. There is a bed, a desk and a shelf. The doll is on the bad. The lamp is on the desk. The books are on the shelf. The trash bin is behind the door. The clothes are in the closet. There is a air-conditioner over the closet. Look! There are many pictures on the wall. I love my room very much.

From today on, I, Molly, would become a formal saleslady in the clothes shop. Based on my observation and research of my customers ring my probationary period of three months, customers can be roughly classified into three groups; and for each group, we salespersons must use a corresponding set of devices.

(10:45 am) Roy entered the shop, walked to the counter, and directly asked for a shirt to match with his suit. As the suit is yellow, Roy has formed in his mind that it should be a pink one with streaks upon it. I just helped him to select out the right size and right material. Roy was so quickly satisfied that he paid for it without one more word. The whole exchanging course took no more than five minutes.

Roy was the representative of the first group — resolute, decisive, determined … anyway; he has got a clear idea about what he wants before going shopping, sometimes even as detailed as the number of the buttons. Having total confidence upon his own judgment, he has no further interest in others』 opinion. So the salesperson should just obey his will and follow it naturally; no debating.

(4:30 pm) Mary went into the shop, wandered again and again in front of the closet. After a while, she seemed to show growing interest in a gracious dress, for she stroked it tenderly, and pondered over and over — obviously the price is a little beyond her expectation. She put it back, but in no more than one minute took it out again, and appreciated it carefully.

Mary is surly the sample of the second group — hesitant, irresolute, undecided. She can』t believe in her own ability of making decision, and worries a lot for the potential mistakes resulting from her incomprehensive considerations. Advices and encouragements, but not others, are required upon the salesperson for such customers. Firstly, the salesperson should help Mary to put her worries aside, and secondly introce the advantages and values of the clothes, the consummate customer services.

Larger business enterprises, one notch up the size scale, are often categorized as a small business. When a company reaches 100 or more employees, it is often referred to as a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise.

Before the 19th century, and the spread of the instrial revolution around the globe, nearly all offices were small offices and/or home offices, with only a few exceptions. Most businesses were small, and so was the paperwork that went with them.

The instrial revolution aggregated workers in factories, to mass proce goods. For the most part, the so-called "white collar" counterpart— office work— was aggregated as well, in large buildings, usually in cities or densely populated suburban areas.

Technology has also created a demand for larger businesses to employ indivials who work from home. Sometimes these people remain as an independent businessperson, and sometimes they actually become employees of a larger company.
The small office home office has gone through a great transformation recently since technology has enabled anyone working from a home office to compete globally. Technology has made this possible through webinar systems and telephone connections through Skype and the like. The Virtual Office concept has been expanded to enable anyone to do globally what they could do locally before. With a global reach through the use of technology the SOHO now has a better chance of emerging as a greater challenge in the world marketplace.
