小憶春節
今年的春節來得特別早，似乎有些讓人措手不及。剛過完元旦，就迎來了期末考試；期末考試剛過，居然就要過年了。對於我們學生而言，今年春節的氣氛好象不及往年那麼濃烈。因為考試的餘威尚未散去，似乎還在為考試而患得患失，便幾乎忘了以往過年的熱鬧景象。
讓我想想去年的這個時候吧。由於親戚們都要聚到我家，父母早早的就忙開了。他們倆都騎上自行車，一起到市場上去采購年貨。既要考慮到一幫小孩聚到一起又瘋又鬧地，得准備點他們愛吃愛玩的：又得想到大人們談笑風聲必備的瓜子、花生……。這樣一來，他們回來時，車簍里必定是大包小包，裝得滿滿的。
就在大家都在忙活的環境中，我們對春節的渴望自然是格外的強烈。好不容易盼來了除夕，從下午開始，我就期待著敲門聲。開門的第一句話必然是「祝你新年快樂，萬事如意」之類。漸漸地，人都到齊了，大人們便圍著圓桌一起聊天。平常日子裡大家由於工作繁忙而無暇互相聯系，現在，他們都趁這個機會暢所欲言。談談一年來的工作情況，訴一訴生活上的苦衷和感慨，彼此之間沒有半點隔膜，心與心之間貼得格外的近。
調皮好動的我們現在正是如魚得水。大人們有他們自己的范圍，沒空管我們，我們也就有些「為所欲為」。躲進一個房間，一起擠坐大床上。交流交流學校里的趣事，時不時有人會被逗得差點從床上翻下去。搞笑的哥哥拿手節目便是用他特有的方式，來「輔導」我們幾個妹妹的英語。他的教法雖說不上深入淺出，但讓我們記憶尤為深刻。
「開飯了……」父親的一聲招呼，弟弟連忙蹦蹦跳跳跑到桌前，看著一桌好菜眼紅。大人們不約而同地說：「差點忘了這件重要的事。」我們也才反應過來壓歲錢還沒拿呢。雖說這傳統我們也經歷了不少年，可要接過紅包，不知怎麼的還是有些不好意思。
一大家人團團圓圓地圍在桌旁同吃年夜飯，有什麼比這個還要幸福呢？這時，電視里的春節晚會似乎也沒有了太大的吸引力。
一年的最後節目便是放煙花迎接嶄新的一年的到來。我們走出家門，室外似乎也被渲染上了春節喜慶的氣氛，變得不那麼寒冷了。一朵又一朵絢麗的煙花在夜空中開放，我們頭仰著，沉醉在這美麗的天幕中。「5、4、3、2、1、0！」隨著我們一起倒計時，新年終於在我們的歡呼聲中到來。喜悅、歡欣溢於言表，大家都互相微笑凝視著，默默無言。
憶起了去年的春節，我似乎可以感受到這特有節日的特殊魅力了。現在，我體會到了去年自己的心情，也越發地盼望可以大家重新歡聚一堂。

Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is the most important festival for Chinese people all over the world. It is also called the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year. The exact date of the Spring Festival on the Western calendar changes from year to year. However, Chinese New Year takes place between January 1 and February 19.
On the Chinese calendar every year has an animal's name. These animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. A Chinese legend says that these twelve animals had a race. The first year was named after the rat, the winner. The other eleven years were named according to the order in which the animals arrived in the race. The clever rat jumped onto the ox's back, and then at the end jumped over the ox's head to arrive first!
The Chinese believe that a person born in a particular year has some of the characteristics of that animal.
