英語在表達重復含義的並列結構中常採用共享、替代、轉換等形式來避免重復，而漢語卻常常有意重復表達以加強文字的力度，如：英語的物主代詞替代前面的名詞，短語動詞只重復介詞而省略主動詞，漢譯時可考慮重復表達。
